#millersnoshnwalk (IN HAWAII!) weeks 31 and 32 We had a blast last week in Hawaii. When we went out to eat, we would try to keep to local joints and cuisine. We went with LeAnns parents, and if you know her dad, you know that he is quite the rapscallion! So, every time we were out together, he was like: ‘There’s a McDonalds, let’s go!’ He got a whole lot of raspberries back from this guy. 😉 The first place we went was Bubbas Burgers in Poipu. There was a BIG line on that Saturday afternoon, and I usually prefer to go find a place with a shorter wait than to wait in a line for a half hour. LeAnn looked at me with those big, brown eyes and winked me into being patient. They did have burgers with Kauai raised beef, so we exercised patience and stayed on for their burgers. While we were waiting, I looked over next door and saw a place called ‘Savage Shrimp’, so I popped over there and got a basket of garlic shrimp to Nosh on while we were waiting in line. #millersnoshnwalk week 30 Last Saturday, we made a quick trip out to a joint called Flame Burgers in Fed Weezie. Bacon cheeseburgers and crinkle fries, and though we are not in Utah anymore, they even had Fry Sauce! It was some good grub! Definitely would go back to this one. Afterwards, as we weren’t too far from the Hylebos Wetlands, headed over there for a nice walk on the boardwalk in the middle of the wetlands. This is one of my favorite places to walk. It is a bit of paradise in the suburbs, with a clear creek and native growth forest all surrounding. So peaceful and beautiful. So happy to share this time with LeAnn.

#millersnoshnwalk weeks 29 and 30 Last weekend Kelly and Ruth invited us down to Long Beach for a stay in their condo. It was awesome, of course! The weather was perfect, the beach was beautiful, AND we even had Austin with us for the weekend as he had come home to renew his drivers license. We had a nice walk on the beach and enjoyed the tide pools. Saturday evening, We went out to eat together at the North Beach Tavern. We had Nachos, Dogs, pizza and Austin had a Salmon Burger. It was some good grub. It was fun to eat outside while being able to smell the sweet ocean air of the Pacific. Thanks to Kelly and Ruth for showing us a great time! This weekend LeAnn and I had a good plan for our outing, but it went a bit awry. We went to the Seattle Temple for a session, which was wonderful. Then had planned to head down to Factoria for our Nosh. We drove over to Katsu Burger to find the parking lot full and the few tables inside packed full. #millersnoshnwalk weeks 27 and 28 Last week we had a fabulous time on an excursion with our good friends and neighbors, Doug and Melanie Stucki! They introduced us to the Dough Zone Dumpling House! It was TOTEMO OISHIKATTA! (Very yummy) We had so many good things: Soup Dumplings, Bao, pickled cucumbers, and oodles of noodles. I think the food always tastes better when you are with friends! Like Ahhnold says: ‘We’ll be baaack’ This week, we went down the hill into Puyallup to hit up a joint called Wicked Pie. We decided this was some of the best crust we have ever had. LeAnn ordered a Pear and Gorgonzola salad, which she loved, and then we got a couple of pies: a Pepperoni and one called ‘The Chosen One’. I was curious to figure out what that one was, since they don’t actually tell you what is on it. They just state: ‘Have some faith. 08/31/2021 #millersnoshnwalk weeks 25 and 26 Half a year now that we have been doing this. Amazing how much we love it, look forward to it, and enjoy spending the time together to do it. Last week, our nephew Andrew, and his lovely wife, Rebeka came up to the PNW for a visit. We talked about some of our outings and found that they would like to join us one one of our excursions. Learning that they both love Japanese food, and knowing that that is one of our favorites, we found a fantastic place in T-Town called The Koi. It is a sushi place with other authentic Japanese dishes where we figured everyone could find something they liked. Andrew is a big sushi fan, his wife not so much. LeAnn also enjoys seafood more than myself, but hasn’t tried sushi in a number of years, when she had last tried Ikura (salmon roe) and did not enjoy that very much.
