Missionary Marathons: Sister Dummer
While on my Journey to complete walking 24,901 miles of #ToddlingAroundTheEquator, I am focusing these walks on the amazing missionaries that I know that are serving around the world. I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
This week I have walked 26.2 miles for Sister Dummer, who is serving in our Ward. We have had the privilege of having her over to our house for lessons and for dinner. It has been great to get to know her and see her beautiful smile and the love she has for the Gospel. She has been in the mission now for almost a month, and I can tell she is going to help change so many lives for the better as a missionary!
Here is a bit more about Sister Dummer, so you can get to know more about her and why she is so special:
She is from Layton, UT
And loves Running, hiking, swimming, baking, being with family and friends
Her favorite food is Goldfish (the snack that smiles back)
She is the 3rd of 4 children.
‘My parents are the greatest and have taught me to love the Lord! I have an older brother and sister in law, an older sister and soon to be brother in law, and a younger sister! I love them so much!! ‘
What she loves about being a missionary and serving in Washington:
“I love Jesus Christ and the purpose He gives me in this life. I want to share the joy that comes from living His gospel to everyone!
I love how everything is so green and I love the amazing people I meet every day!!
One of my favorite scriptures is in Alma 33:23 "And then may God grant unto you that your burdens may be light through the joy of his Son." I know Jesus is the source of all truth and light. He brings me so much joy! I know He loves you! Don't forget that!”
