Day 150 - Killarney and Olives

Walked through the mall, Newport area of Bellevue before and after work. It wasn’t raining for the rest of theday after it came down hard in the morning. 
I needed to stop by the church after work to take careof some responsibilities. While there, I called LeAnn about grabbing a Togo order at Olive Garden for our Friday night date night. We ended up sending an order in and needed some time for it to get ready before I could go to pick it up. So I had about 30 minutes to walk and went down to Lake Killarney and the nearby trails behind World Vision.

Then drove the couple of miles over to Olive Garden and took it home for a nice date night with LeAnn. I called it the ‘Triple P date’ = Pasta, Puzzles and Programs. We had our nice dinner, worked on a Thomas Kincaid puzzle while watching a TV show. Great Night!

#millersnoshnwalk week 49: We had the pleasure of hanging out with the Scurvy Dogs Book Club on the last day of the month. We had some trouble getting the gang together this month, but squeaked by on 2/28 to keep our streak alive! Going into our 11th year of the book club, we have met every month and have now read 129 books. This past month we read The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles, it was a good read. We met up at BBQ Pete’s and had some fantastic BBQ and invited the Scurvy Wives. I had a prime rib dip sandwich and LeAnn had the ‘Sandwich with No Name’ - sliced brisket, cheese and crispy onion straws. They even had free soft serve ice cream cones! So good.

Missionary Marathons: Sister Dummer

While on my Journey to complete walking 24,901 miles of #ToddlingAroundTheEquator, I am focusing these walks on the amazing missionaries that I know that are serving around the world. I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! This week I have walked 26.2 miles for Sister Dummer, who is serving in our Ward. We have had the privilege of having her over to our house for lessons and for dinner. It has been great to get to know her and see her beautiful smile and the love she has for the Gospel. She has been in the mission now for almost a month, and I can tell she is going to help change so many lives for the better as a missionary! These past few weeks I have walked 150.4 miles for Elder Brendan Murphy, who is my nephew. (Gotta go a few extra marathons for my family!) I decided to walk the distance between the first two Cities he has served in in Finland, Turku and Lahti. Brendan is a special man, with a beautiful smile. He is intelligent, kind and thoughtful.
