Day 439 - Friend Party

Did the Tacoma Waterfront for my morning walk. It’s been a while since I’ve been down there. Used to go allthe time when the Soo was open for volunteers. Wentback to where Autumns wedding was and that brought back some memories. 
In the evening, we had friends over for a birthday party

She has been in the mission now for almost a month, and I can tell she is going to help change so many lives for the better as a missionary! Nosh N Walk: Week 49

#millersnoshnwalk week 49: We had the pleasure of hanging out with the Scurvy Dogs Book Club on the last day of the month. We had some trouble getting the gang together this month, but squeaked by on 2/28 to keep our streak alive! Going into our 11th year of the book club, we have met every month and have now read 129 books. This past month we read The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles, it was a good read. We met up at BBQ Pete’s and had some fantastic BBQ and invited the Scurvy Wives. I had a prime rib dip sandwich and LeAnn had the ‘Sandwich with No Name’ - sliced brisket, cheese and crispy onion straws. They even had free soft serve ice cream cones! So good.

Missionary Marathons: Elder Murphy

I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! These past few weeks I have walked 150.4 miles for Elder Brendan Murphy, who is my nephew. (Gotta go a few extra marathons for my family!) I decided to walk the distance between the first two Cities he has served in in Finland, Turku and Lahti. Brendan is a special man, with a beautiful smile. He is intelligent, kind and thoughtful. It has been a privilege to watch him grow up and become such a man who is now serving the Lord with all his heart, might, mind and strength. It is an honor to be his uncle.
