Nosh N Walk: Week 13

06/01/2021 #MillersNoshNwalk week 13: LeAnn and I had a busy Saturday putting in this landscaping wall around the front of the house. The Cypress trees were getting ungainly and the rhododendron in between hadn’t bloomed in the three years that we have been here. So we ripped them out and are excited to start anew and build up this new planting area. it really opened up the front of the house and sure lets a lot more light in! Who knew you could walk a couple of miles from just trudging around the yard? 4 hours after starting, we had the wall up, and were quite sore and almost too tired to go out to eat. Almost. We picked ourselves up and headed out to try Gor Gai Thai Street food in Auburn. They still didn’t have indoor dining opened up yet, and we really didn’t want to dine in the car again, so we were about to go and try to find another place, when we realized they had a nice outdoor seating area and the weather was just perfect. We ordered some of our favorite Thai dishes - Pork Panang Curry and Thai Fried rice. I’m a bit of a spice wimp, and LeAnn likes to crank it up, so we compromised with medium spice and waited for about 10 minutes. The food came out and it was AWESOME! It didn’t leave scabs in my throat and had great flavor. We enjoyed this place so much that we almost forgot how sore we were!
