Day 446 - Sunday meeting walk

Started the day with my 9;00 ward council meeting and walking while on Zoom. Saw a neighbor who said ‘you sure are dressed up for a walk!’

Day 444 - Miller Bike Thriller

Image
Pulled back on the walking for a bit to get in our annual MillerBikeThriller Bike ride with Jaylin Not quite as long, not quite as hilly, not quite as intense, but just as special as all of the others, since I was able to spend this quality time with Jaylin on our 10th Annual #MillerBikeThriller. Amazed that we have been doing this for 10 years now. Jaylin went on her first ride with us when she was 9 years old. She had a tiny little bike and would join us for 5 miles at a time as we rode from Seattle to Vancouver that first year. Though we are missing Autumn and Austin now, the tradition carries on. Today we rode 23 miles through Puyallup, Sumner, Orting and into South Prairie on the Foothills Trail. Lots of stop signs, but lots of fun. Made all the more special by riding alongside this fun, cool girl!

Day 440 - Trout lake route

Went around the Trout Lake route today. It was hot. Had to change my shirt after getting home. I don’t generally get sweaty while walking, but it was in the mid 80s and I had some trouble finding much shade.

Day 441 - White River

Image
Got a late start today, but finished strong with11.3 miles for the day. I didn’t get out for my first walk until about 4. Drove down to the Sumner trail and walked along the White River. There was construction going on for a new levee, so had to detour through the industrial area and a bunch of Amazon warehouses.  A bit later, as it was getting dark, went and walked about 3 miles around the Jovita neighborhoods across Military. (Even watched someone Disney movies on my phone while walking at night).  Then after about an hour off, went and hit the treadmill to finish for the day.

Day 442 - Wetlands

Back to the wetlands for a change of scenery

Day 443 - Old School Disney Animation movies

Image
Over the past few weeks, finished THREE #treadmillmoviemarathons (78.6 miles) plus another 1.4 miles for a total of 80 miles of walking and watching TWENTY ONE old school Disney animated Movies over the course of 1,552 minutes of miles.  I watched them in order from 1940 through the 1980’s. There were even a couple in here that I actually had never seen -  - Saludos Amigos, which was fun as it takes place in Central and South America, right in those areas that I am virtually walking through now! - Make Mine Music, tells the story of Johnny Appleseed and other folklore I didn’t watch any of the Disney Princess movies through this run of marathons.  (I’m saving those for another session) Also didn’t watch Fantasia as that will be included in a future ‘Mickey Movies’ session. Here is the full list: 1.) Pinocchio (1940) 2.) Dumbo (1941) 3.) Bambi (1942) 4.) Saludos Amigos (1942) 5.) The Three Caballeros (1944) 6.) Make Mine Music (1946) 7.) Fun and Fancy Free (1947) 8.) The A...

Day 439 - Friend Party

Did the Tacoma Waterfront for my morning walk. It’s been a while since I’ve been down there. Used to go allthe time when the Soo was open for volunteers. Wentback to where Autumns wedding was and that brought back some memories.  In the evening, we had friends over for a birthday party
