Give Thanks: day 7

11/26/2020 #givethanks Day 7: Made it to the day that is all about family. And so shall this post be. My family is amazing. We drove each other crazy while growing up, and that is partly what has bonded us together so strongly to this day. My parents had to have a lot of love to spread it out amongst seven kids. They did a stellar job of raising a group of self sufficient, strong-willed, fun and kind children, who themselves have become incredible parents as we have strived to emulate them. We had some tough times growing up, but our trials definitely made us stronger. We were a bit nomadic through my youth, living in seven different homes. We had to learn how to make new friends often and strive to adapt to those new environments. This also helped to build character. However, when I look back on growing up as a Miller, I am so much more grateful for the many numerous good times and memories that flow through my recollection. That our parents had a loving home which each of us were b...

Harry Potter Marathon

11/25/2020 I have loved reading the Harry Potter novels since they came out in the late 90’s. My brother in law, Alan, was reading them at that time and introduced me to Harry. What fantastic stories these are. They teach us about the power of friendship, being courageous and fighting against evil, facing our fears and coming out stronger because of it and of the immense love of family - that they will always be there for you, even from the other side. I am grateful for those angels from our families that have gone before us and watch over us and protect us. To tag along with the amazing books, I started on another #treadmillmoviemarathon along the #seattletobahia virtual walk. I watched and walked through 1,445 minutes of Harry Potter movies and finished 2 marathons plus another 23.7 miles. J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World Harry Potter and the Sorcerers’ Stone: 152 m Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: 161 m Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: 141 m Harry Potter and the...
