Amazon Spheres - Day 86

I was up in Seattle today for an appointment. My brothers had been texting about the best burger chain and were talking about a Shake Shack that had opened in Utah. There is one on Seattle, and I had been to one a year or two ago, but was craving a burger, so walked down into Amazonia to the Shake Shack. There were about twenty people in line in front of me, but figured I would wait it out. The line moved fast, likely due to the fact that they take orders with a bunch of kiosks and then text you when your order is ready. I got my burger and then walked over to the Speres nearby 
Great burger and good day for a walk. Then I took the train up to the UW, walked up to the Salon where Autumn was working her last day for Kelly, and then finished up my 10.4 miles for the day by walking Ravenna Park.

Nosh N Walk: Week 49

#millersnoshnwalk week 49: We had the pleasure of hanging out with the Scurvy Dogs Book Club on the last day of the month. We had some trouble getting the gang together this month, but squeaked by on 2/28 to keep our streak alive! Going into our 11th year of the book club, we have met every month and have now read 129 books. This past month we read The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles, it was a good read. We met up at BBQ Pete’s and had some fantastic BBQ and invited the Scurvy Wives. I had a prime rib dip sandwich and LeAnn had the ‘Sandwich with No Name’ - sliced brisket, cheese and crispy onion straws. They even had free soft serve ice cream cones! So good.

Missionary Marathons: Sister Dummer

While on my Journey to complete walking 24,901 miles of #ToddlingAroundTheEquator, I am focusing these walks on the amazing missionaries that I know that are serving around the world. I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! This week I have walked 26.2 miles for Sister Dummer, who is serving in our Ward. We have had the privilege of having her over to our house for lessons and for dinner. It has been great to get to know her and see her beautiful smile and the love she has for the Gospel. She has been in the mission now for almost a month, and I can tell she is going to help change so many lives for the better as a missionary! I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! These past few weeks I have walked 150.4 miles for Elder Brendan Murphy, who is my nephew. (Gotta go a few extra marathons for my family!) I decided to walk the distance between the first two Cities he has served in in Finland, Turku and Lahti. Brendan is a special man, with a beautiful smile. He is intelligent, kind and thoughtful. It has been a privilege to watch him grow up and become such a man who is now serving the Lord with all his heart, might, mind and strength. It is an honor to be his uncle.
