Day 167 - Austin is transferring!

Back to life. Back to reality. Woke up at 4:45. Got to the Factoria Mall by 6:00. Walked there for an hour, then my lunchtime walk around Newport. No rain. Yay. Highlight of the day: Austin on Google Hangouts! He is getting transferred from Tandil. He is sad to leave, but excited about a new experience. They actually dont tell them where they are going until after they take a bus back to the Mission Home. He could end up staying in Bahia Blanca, or be transferred somewhere else. The great unknown!

Here is the letter we received from Austin today:

¡Me Voy! Soy Gringo

I’m leaving Tandil! I am excited to experience a new city, but very sad to
be leaving my home town. The people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve had
will be in my heart forever.

I’m not sure where I’m going yet! All I have is my ticket to the Bahía
Blanca terminal at 3:30 in the morning haha. I could leave from Bahía
Blanca to any other area in the mission, or I could stay in Bahía. We’ll
see! I’ll be getting a new comp as well. I’m very sad to be leaving Elder
Vilcarromero; a great friend.

This week was good. The weather has been super weird. Torrential downpour
one day, mid 90s the next haha.

One day we were walking through the city and a group of 30 girls (prolly
20-25 years old) were running through the streets but they were dripping in
mud and dirt. They were yelling “ABRAZOS ABRAZOS” (hugs!). I did not want a
hug. Did I get a hug? Yes, from like 10 of them. And my white shirt was not
white anymore. I was sad.

We had some good lessons with Milagros and Juanita as well, I am hoping to
receive pictures from their baptisms on the 13th!

I don’t have too much time, but I love you all! Our time here on earth is
short. Even in moments that are difficult, enjoy them. There is always
something to learn, someway to grow. We are here on earth so that we can
progress! Have patience and be virtuous, you will see blessings 🙂

Love, Elder Miller
