Day 172 - O Christmas Tree

Took my jaunt around the zoo. Weather was decent, then walking around the aquarium for a couple of hours taking care of my responsibilities for the shark food preparation. I need to get some photos from within the bowels of the aquarium where the freezer is and the fish are stored. Just a couple of miles there, then needed to leave as soon as I finished the shark food prep. Finished at 10 am, then headed to Puyallup where I needed to go to the bank. After that, was planning on meeting LeAnn and Jaylin in Edgewood at a Christmas Tree farm. LeAnn had wanted to go out and get one in the wild out near Rainier, where we had gone last year, and you can get a permit for $10. We didnt quite have time to do that as I didnt get back until 11 and Jaylin had to work at 2. The farm was cool and closer to home. It was raining a bit and we mucked around through the trees trying to find a good one. The challenge was trying to find one around 9 feet tall that was full enough for what we wanted. Our new house has taller ceilings than our old one, so it can handle a bigger tree. We found a couple that looked good, but then ended up going to the pre-cut section and finding a beautiful 8 foot noble. Of course it was more expensive, but that was what LeAnn and Jaylin liked. Finally got it up on the roof of the Flex and got it home. I was soaked through at this time and was looking forward to changing clothes. We made it home and put the tree in the garage to dry out for a bit.

I then watched some football for a while and later went out to get the outside Christmas lights up.

With all of the trudging around the tree farm and the outside work on the lights and such, I ended up getting 7.4 miles for the day. Not too shabby
