Day 174 - P-Day!

Austin has transferred to Bahia Blanca! We got to talk to him today and he is very excited to be there. He said the people seem to be more open to discussing the Gospel, so that is fantastic news. He loves his new companion, Elder Mikelson as well, so things are great! Here is his letter from 12/9/2019: Hey I don’t have a bunch of time but I got switched to a new area! I am serving in Bahía Blanca (area general arias)! And I absolutely love it here, it’s amazing. It is also 104 degrees here right now as I’m typing, and it’s still spring haha. And very humid… My new comps name is Elder Mikelson and I love him. He’s been in the mission for almost 18 months. He’s from Saint George but he lived in the mountains lol. He doesn’t know anything about music, sports, or pop culture in general. Just how to fight (MMA I think??) and talk about Jesus haha. But I love him and I’m learning a lot. So much has happened in this last week I can’t explain it all. We are teaching soooo many families I love it. One of the families (Fabian, Synthia, Darian, Ludmila and Ayoran) are going to be baptized the day after Christmas! I love them all so much. It’s hot so I sweat. Then I walk and the dirt flies everywhere in the wind from the streets so I get home and my shirt isn’t white and neither is my skin haha because the dirt just sticks to me. We are working hard and I’m so tired, but I feel like I’m learning so much and growing a lot. I have already met so many amazing people here and want to describe them but just don’t have time. But I’ll attach pics! I love you all and hope that everyone is getting into the Christmas spirit! So far I haven’t seen anything Christmasy here, but maybe it will come… Also some people asked me what I ate for Thanksgiving. That kinda came and went I think I had rice. Elder Miller
