Day 250 - parking Lot Security

Today was Sunday and I was scheduled to meet with the bishop before our bishopric meeting. I would usually go in earlier to walk down the to the lake and back, but it was raining pretty good. I also was supposed to do the church parking log security during the second hour of church. This building, our Stake Center, has had lots of car burglaries in the past while people are attending church. Sad to think of the evil people out there that would prey on churchgoers who are striving to become better people, while they are in church. I had looked at the forecast and came prepared with an Umbrella. It rained pretty hard for the first half hour, then cleared up the second half hour. I was able to walk about three miles during that time. That evening, LeAnn and I went with Jaylin to attend a 'Face to Face' with President Oaks and his wife. They talked about the new Youth Program and how we can work on creating goals. This is a replacement for Boy Scouts and Personal Progress programs. It will be interesting to see how this progresses.
