Day 272 - North side of Trout Lake

Took a different route then up to five mile lake. It is so cool to see some of the different views and neighborhoods. These houses are pretty magnificent and I can just imagine what their waterfront is like (though you can see them from the other side of the lake) The other highlight of the day was that we got to talk with Austin!

Here is what Austin wrote in his letter today:
Donald Trump has the virus? MARCH 16, 2020 / ELDER AUSTIN MILLER / 0 COMMENTS So my taxi driver told me that Donald Trump got the corona virus and passed away… I don’t think that happened but we’ll see haha. I hope everyone is doing well! I know that the whole world is going crazy over everything that is happening. There aren’t very many cases in Argentina, but they are still very worried. We have all been told to go buy food and to be prepared to stay in our houses for a couple weeks. For right now we still go out and work; but we aren’t able to talk with anyone in the street or knock on any doors… So we can only visit members and our friends that we know well. I’m a little worried about everything but I know that we can all be safe. Just need to trust in God ya know 🙂 The work is still going really well here! The rules have changed a bit but we’re going to keep going. Ayirton has his baptism this weekend! I am so excited for him and can’t wait for him to receive the blessings he will get after his baptism. We had some really cool lessons this week and I felt the spirit very strongly. #millersnoshnwalk week 49: We had the pleasure of hanging out with the Scurvy Dogs Book Club on the last day of the month. We had some trouble getting the gang together this month, but squeaked by on 2/28 to keep our streak alive! Going into our 11th year of the book club, we have met every month and have now read 129 books. This past month we read The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles, it was a good read. We met up at BBQ Pete’s and had some fantastic BBQ and invited the Scurvy Wives. I had a prime rib dip sandwich and LeAnn had the ‘Sandwich with No Name’ - sliced brisket, cheese and crispy onion straws. They even had free soft serve ice cream cones! So good.

Missionary Marathons: Sister Dummer

While on my Journey to complete walking 24,901 miles of #ToddlingAroundTheEquator, I am focusing these walks on the amazing missionaries that I know that are serving around the world. I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! This week I have walked 26.2 miles for Sister Dummer, who is serving in our Ward. We have had the privilege of having her over to our house for lessons and for dinner. It has been great to get to know her and see her beautiful smile and the love she has for the Gospel. She has been in the mission now for almost a month, and I can tell she is going to help change so many lives for the better as a missionary! I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! These past few weeks I have walked 150.4 miles for Elder Brendan Murphy, who is my nephew. (Gotta go a few extra marathons for my family!) I decided to walk the distance between the first two Cities he has served in in Finland, Turku and Lahti. Brendan is a special man, with a beautiful smile. He is intelligent, kind and thoughtful.
