Miller Marathon #2

Finished my second #millermarathon last night, while walking toward the #majesticfamilyreunion in Sandy, Utah. This one is dedicated to my mom This is my beautiful mother, Linda Hellewell Miller. She is one of the strongest people I know. She loves her family passionately, and has taught her children kindness and compassion. She has always been a faithful and determined follower of Jesus Christ. She exemplifies a Christlike love toward others. She always worked so hard to help support our family and was an elementary school teacher for many years. She was always a favorite teacher of her students. Everyone who knows her, loves her. She put up with me bringing home: iguanas, rabbits, hamsters, 100s of gallons of fish tanks, dogs, and even a boa constrictor. Though I know I drove her crazy with many of my escapades, she would always forgive and teach me how to overcome and she always made me strive to be a better person. I am so grateful for my mother. I couldn’t be more blessed than to be her son. I love you mom! #toddlingaroundtheworld

Nosh N Walk: Week 49

#millersnoshnwalk week 49: We had the pleasure of hanging out with the Scurvy Dogs Book Club on the last day of the month. We had some trouble getting the gang together this month, but squeaked by on 2/28 to keep our streak alive! Going into our 11th year of the book club, we have met every month and have now read 129 books. This past month we read The Lincoln Highway, by Amor Towles, it was a good read. We met up at BBQ Pete’s and had some fantastic BBQ and invited the Scurvy Wives. I had a prime rib dip sandwich and LeAnn had the ‘Sandwich with No Name’ - sliced brisket, cheese and crispy onion straws. They even had free soft serve ice cream cones! So good.

Missionary Marathons: Sister Dummer

While on my Journey to complete walking 24,901 miles of #ToddlingAroundTheEquator, I am focusing these walks on the amazing missionaries that I know that are serving around the world. I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! This week I have walked 26.2 miles for Sister Dummer, who is serving in our Ward. We have had the privilege of having her over to our house for lessons and for dinner. It has been great to get to know her and see her beautiful smile and the love she has for the Gospel. She has been in the mission now for almost a month, and I can tell she is going to help change so many lives for the better as a missionary! I am dedicating walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and tag them as #missionarymarathons. I am so grateful to these faithful missionaries for dedicating their lives to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ! These past few weeks I have walked 150.4 miles for Elder Brendan Murphy, who is my nephew. (Gotta go a few extra marathons for my family!) I decided to walk the distance between the first two Cities he has served in in Finland, Turku and Lahti. Brendan is a special man, with a beautiful smile. He is intelligent, kind and thoughtful. It has been a privilege to watch him grow up and become such a man who is now serving the Lord with all his heart, might, mind and strength. It is an honor to be his uncle.
