Toddling Around Disney World: Day 5

Celebrating completion of #ToddlingAroundTheWorld by #ToddlingAroundDisneyWorld – Day 5 Disney’s Animal Kingdom Honestly, before getting here, I thought this one would be more of a Safari-type if park. So I was quite amazed getting in and seeing the beauty of this park. The landscaping and foliage was stunning. Then walking up to see the Tree of Life, we were quite stunned with the detail and intricacies of the tree. Wow. From there, we beelined over to Avatar Flight of Passage. The setting was so stunning. Welcome to Pandora. We were excited to go on this one, even though it showed an 85 minute wait by the time we got there. There was plenty to look at while waiting, but we had no idea what we were in for. About an hour in to the line, they announce: ‘sorry to say, but we are not operating at full capacity. Unfortunately, wait times ‘may’ be longer than expected. ‘ freak. 3 hours later. yes, three hours after getting in line, we finally got on the ride. I was saying that we could have watched the WHOLE AVATAR MOVIE during that timeframe had we started it when we got in line. It was rough. Yes, the 4 1/2 minute ride was awesome, but they almost killed us with boredom trying to get there. We grabbed a tasty sandwich at Starbucks for lunch, and then went over to Africa and Asia. (While it started to rain). Cool spots though. We loved seeing the African animals and I especially loved the African cichlids. Literally thousands of my favorite fishes in the same place. We did the Bugs Life show and then shopped a bit before heading out. All in all, an amazing 5 days at Disney World with my special girl, LeAnn
