Missionary Marathon: Sister Keeney

One of the goals that I have as I move forward with my walking Journey to complete walking 24,901 miles of #ToddlingAroundTheEquator, is to focus on the amazing missionaries that I know that are serving around the world. I will dedicate walking a marathon of miles for these missionaries and will tag them as #missionarymarathons. This past week I have walked 26.2 miles for Sister Kennedie Keeney, who is currently serving in the Mesa Arizona Mission while waiting to go to Kobe Japan. I have seen Kennedie grow up as she was on the same soccer team as Jaylin when they were younger. She was a formidable player and scored so many goals for their team. She sure was fun to watch! I am excited for Kennedie to go to Japan as I know how wonderful the country and people there are! I am grateful for the work she is doing in Arizona, and know that wherever she is, she is doing the work that God wants her to do. Here is a bit more about Sister Keeney, so you can get to know more about her and why she is so special: ======== Sister Kennedie Keeney Is from Federal Way Washington. She loves Sports, art, hiking, music, traveling, and Mexican food! What she loves about her family and being a missionary: My family is amazing and the best ever! There is my parents, Todd and Melanie, and then my 6 siblings, Nathan Brooklin, Zachary, Sydney, and Jacob. And they are all my best friends. Nathan has been married for awhile to Katlyn, she is amazing and they have 2 kids Avery and Sawyer who are adorable. Brooklin has been married to Thomas for a couple of years and they have 3 little girls Nicolette Addison and Evalyn, who are all so spunky and cute!! We all love spending time together, watching movies playing games and talking around the dinner table. I wanted to become a missionary because when I found out for myself that Jesus Christ lives and loves me and that God is real and He is my Heavenly Father, I needed to help everyone know that same thing. Because as soon as I figure those to crucial truths out in my life, it changed and became so much better. I also became a missionary because I know that this is Christ Church and I want everyone to receive of the blessings He is offering. I have absolutely loved serving the people of Mesa AZ and serving the Lord. It is so amazing how when you sacrifice things to God you are blessed so much more than you gave up. I am so grateful for the things I have learned from the first half of my mission experience and I'm looking forward to the second half!!! ========= While in Utah this past week, I went on a 4 mile walk near Wheeler Farm with my mom! (Linda Hellewell Miller)This 77 years young lady killed it! #ToddlingAroundTheEquator: 16,869/24,901 complete #WalkingTheYear 219/2022 complete
