Nosh N Walk: Week 17

#millersnoshnwalk Week 17
We had a happy string of events that turned into a delicious meal and experience this past week. Last month, we went to a brunch at Windmill Bistro in Sumner. They have a cute, adjoining Garden Center called Windmill Gardens. We still wanted to check that place out as we have finally completed building out the front planting area under the window after pulling out the overgrown Cypress trees and Rhodies. We had a fun time picking out some plants, and as we were checking out, told the clerk we were planning on going to Aversanos, an Italian place across the street, for dinner. She said, actually, if you want to try a fantastic Italian place, go to Sorci’s down in town. She raved about that, so we tried that instead. What a great recommendation that turned out to be!
We had an amazing roasted avocado with goat cheese and tapenade, Salmon with asparagus, and chicken piccata. (Though I was tricked by eating what I thought was a roasted yellow pepper - which turned out to be a slice of lemon rind. That was a sour surprise!) this place was amazing.
Earlier that morning, LeAnn and I had taken a walk around the Trout Lake loop and over to the Jovita trail, so had gotten about four miles in earlier that day.
Sometimes you just gotta burn the calories off before putting them back on!
