Nosh N Walk: Week 18 and 19

#millersnoshnwalk week 18 (and 19!)
LeAnn and I were planning to go out and have a nice belated Anniversary dinner last Saturday night, when we got a call from our friends the Fisher’s and we’re invited to go out on their boat in the Sound. We excitedly jumped on that train (boat) and joined them for a beautiful afternoon on the water. We went from Des Moines Marina up and around Blake island. It was perfectly perfect weather, and made me fall even more in love with the PNW. Besides the beauty of enjoying nature, it was wonderful to spend some time with good friends.
After getting back to the Marina, we went up the hill to Wally’s, one of the best Seafood and chowder houses in all the land. Prolly not many locals don’t know about the fantasticness of this place, and it surely did not disappoint. I had my favorite sourdough clam chowder bowl and LeAnn had Blackened Ling Cod Tacos. Nom Nom!
#millersnoshnwalk week 19:
We invited Jaylin to hang out with us for the night and were blessed to have her consider us worthy to party with. We were feeling pretty hip getting to hang out with a cool college kid! (That, and the fact that we bought dinner and then we’re taking her out to the movies might have added some extra incentive 😉)
We ordered sandwiches from the best sandwich shop in Milton (yeah, there might only be one of those, but that is beside the point!) We have loved these sandwiches ever since moving down this way a few years ago. They broil the sammies and they are AHHmazing! The meats are super fresh and the ingredients are spot-on tasty!
LeAnn had Oliver’s Special: Turkey, Ham, American and provolone cheese, Lettuce tomatoes and sprouts.
I went with the Philly Cheesesteak, and loved it.
Afterwards, we headed up to the theater and saw Black Widow. It was a fun movie and great to be able to be with Jaylin.
