Nosh N Walk: Weeks 21, 22 and 23!

08/13/2021 #millersnoshnwalk Weeks 21, 22 and 23! We celebrated LeAnns birthday by heading up near Mt. Raineir for lunch and then a walk near Crystal Mountain. We ate at a cute place called Charlie’s Cafe In Enumclaw. It was popular enough (or maybe it was because it was one of the few places around) that there was a 15 minute wait. LeAnn ordered a French Toast breakfast and I had a California burger. The food was pretty good, but likely wouldn’t go out of our way to come back. The atmosphere was fun and well decorated. We then went up to enjoy the beauty of the mountains and stopped by Greenwater on the way out for a shake. During week 22 we had headed down to Utah for a family reunion. We flew into SLC so we could spend a couple of days with my family before driving down to St George for the Thorne Family Reunion. We were picked up by LeAnns sister, Lisa, and spent some time visiting with their family before heading South. On the way out, we went to Dylan’s DriveIn in Kaysville. I had another Guacamole Bacon Burger and LeAnn and Jaylin had salads. The food was good and I would def take a Dylan’s burger over Charlie’s. PLUS- they have real-life Fry Sauce in Utah, which is always worth bonus points. Since we walked a couple of miles through the new SLC airport that day, we will chalk that up for our walk. Week 23 - we have been enjoying our time down in St. George at the reunion. It is always so fun to see the cousins and spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. Lots of swimming, board and lawn games, hiking, time at the Lakes and went to see The Count of Monte Cristo at Tuacahn, while trying not to melt in the 100+ heat. We usually have dinners together every evening where each of the six Thorne siblings is responsible for preparing a big meal for all 30- something people. It’s always a great time of bonding, laughing and eating. We occasionally will go out to eat during the week though for other meals, and yesterday, we went to a local pizza joint called Bella Marie Pizzeria. We had an Italian Pie with Caesar Salad. It was molto delizioso!
